Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. Only looking at some of the SRD stuff, it looks like Blades gives you 7 dots across 12 actions? The hack that I was playing (Blades of the Immortals) had 6 dots across 9 actions and spilled a lot of ink to stress that making the players feel incompetent is bad and should be avoided, partially due to the genre being more dramatic than grim and grimy.

Why yes, I roll my ttrpg dice multiple times between actions to prime the rng generator for a good roll.

From my understand of running a single Forged in the Dark session Saturday, I would have thought that just relying on conditions and debuffs in general isn't the intention, and they want you to be creative and use clocks and have narrative or situational consequences be tied to them.

The eldest zoomers would have been starting middle school in 2008, there's probably a substantial amount of people here that were young and not as online when the info started circulating, and spreading the info fell off as it becomes old news.

The Great Saiyaman Arc and parts of the World Tournament Arc right afterwards are actually the highlight of the series to me (subs, if that matters). They're just so silly and low stakes and don't spend hours fighting the same fight. Like, I was actually laughing at Goten and Trunks in a trench coat.

I've read a few omegaverse arcs of while trawling through some mid Chinese GL webnovels, kind of surprised it's popular enough for live action, but there's obviously an audience enough for it to be a setting trope.
