They may not if they think there's little chance of winning the election. Let her take the fall, then move in after.

I thought everyone was agreed she was just a caretaker leader. Just a matter of when it will be the best time to move on to the next.

Look, has anyone seen any proof of that?

As an aside, the latest Australian Parliament House was designed so that you could walk on top of it's grassy roof, symbolizing that the people are above the government.

Now there are fences around it and you'd be arrested if you tried that.

The symbolism is still clear.

There is no fate but the one we make.

If anyone's situation improves, look into converting credit card debt into a personal loan. The interest in some cases can be a lot less.

Usual disclaimers. Everyone's circumstances are different, and not financial advice.

I've used Shutup10 on my Windows partitions for years. Surprised I didn't see it mentioned here.

Good control over copilot and any other Wndows nastiness.

Run it after every Windows update. MS loves sneakily re-enabling some settings.

Good to see they are expanding their scope to include electric cars.

Electric cars also have inflated range figures. And there also seems to be different standards of measuring it.

It's not surprising to watch a Youtube clip and hear 'claimed range of 450kms, so you might get 370kms in the real world'

Why bother with human intelligence when Signal intelligence is about to become a whole lot easier in Australia?

As our esteemed PM Malcolm Turnbull said way back in 2017:

"The laws of mathematics are very commendable but the only law that applies in Australia is the law of Australia"

Noticed this as I drove past the other day. A crow getting stuck into a bin, with a cocky standing by watching. Crow hasn't worked out that blue is the paper recycling bin. Yet.

Clearly, the bin chickens have been on a recruitment drive.

Apologies for the potato quality. It's a cap from a dashcam while it was raining in low light.

Live chat or throw down your opinions at the end if the days play.

All welcome.

Congrats to Caitlin Foord, Steph Catley and Kyra Cooney Cross for being part of Arsenal's win over Barcelona to take out the Women's Champion League.

Great effort from the underdogs!

Also, always great to see Aussies playing in big games and big leagues, because it bodes well for our national team.

I am genuinely sad that I keep being reminded of:

"The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which"

After a series of controversial performances, Snicko has been sacked.

Hotspot has been waiting in the wings, and is hopeful he we be called up as the replacement.

It's hysterical that I can't watch the main cricket channel on 7plus. I just get the red circle going round and round.

But if I switch to the Hindi channel, it's perfect.

Needless to say, with India at 6/73, the Hindi commentators are a little subdued, but still make more sense than Ponting and co.

Sorry if this has been asked/answered previously, but it just struck me that I hadn't really noticed any impacts of CloudStrike on aussie.zone.

Was wondering if it was a non-event, or maybe there are some war stories with heroes deserving medals!

I use old.reddit.com, and had trouble logging in from there today. "Too many redirects". I also use the Redirect to old.reddit.com extension. When I disabled that, the login link it now takes you to is https://www.reddit.com/login/. That, of course, takes you to www.reddit.com.

The old 'popup' login box has been removed. I also noticed that the in sub logins where they used to have username/password entry boxes have been removed.

More reddit enshitification to try and make us use their horrible UI.

He's passed EVERY test. He's more Aussie than anyone I know!

Great little piece that hits a surprising range of emotions

So, it appears the first SMR project in the US was scrapped due to rising costs.

An Aussie SMR would take 10-15 years before even being online and we'd be the guinea pigs.

Perhaps it's time to pivot to technology already available and that can be implemented in the short term?
