Except the rose-colored glasses example doesn't really disagree, because the colored glass is absorbing all the photons except the pink ones, so you're really just further making my point.

I get that it's a joke, but bottom line? The names of colors are just the way our brains interpret specific wavelengths, and wavelength is objective. So it doesn't really matter, because the wavelength of the photon is the same regardless of how our brain perceives it

Every family has their favorite scapegoat. My partner's family has effectively ostracized her for the high crime of...checks notes living out of state.

I really and truly am a dirty slut for beer.

That was a different incident, when he was negotiating with his label, iirc. I think he brought two doves to release as a symbol of peace and when negotiations went south, he intentionally bit their heads off.

The bat incident is very well-documented, and is definitely a different story.

Godfather of heavy metal? Even if you consider Iommi, Ward, and Butler to be the true talent in Black Sabbath, Ozzy is at least the midwife. He was in the fucking delivery room pulling the fetus out of the birth canal; that's considerably more involved than "the godfather"

Children of the Grave and Into the Void have some of the best riffs of all time, but honestly, it's hard to top N.I.B.

Frankly, if you like heavy music, any of the first 4 Sabbath albums are damn near masterpieces from front to back (some people would include Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and even Sabotage, but I'm not one of those people at this point)

As someone who spent the better part of my life with undiagnosed ADHD, it do be. Although, since I started from a position of recreational use, it is hard to find that line between therapeutic and fun.

Good point. And we did manage to elect a Black man by a veritable landslide (twice). Maybe it's just anecdotal evidence or the particular flavor of MAGA in my area.

I don't know this particular asshole, but IME, the racism is typically more important than the misogyny for MAGA-types (but it's a pretty tight race)

It's with noting that the adventure paths and Paizo one-shots are also all very well-written (from the perspective of a novice GM). I've sat down with a group of 11yo kids after giving the adventure a 15-minute glance and been able to run a pretty decent session with next to no prep time.

Not an animal collective, but two animals for the price of one.

Per Wikipedia, Jeddy 3 is an android (a humanoid robot) who drinks himself to death after being neglected by his creators.

Apparently Roger Miller also wrote "Oo-De-Lally" from Disney's Robin Hood, which was a very important song in my formative years.

Huh, TIL
