I understand blocking this bridge, but if admins do that, they should block other bridges too, like bird.makeup

Threads isn't federated yet. It'll be a while before fediverse accounts can be seen on threads

That just sends a screenshot on a map and a Google maps link. What we want is realtime location sharing

There are ads on the app store, which I'd consider to be part of the "primary operating system", especially since it's the only way to install apps.

Not to mention constant ads for icloud. In the photos app, and even notifications from the settings app. (It's possible to turn these off, but not easy or intuitive).

After switching to Android, I haven't seen a single ad in the operating system, (I think Play Store does have ads, I just haven't got any for some reason). The closest thing is Google photos sometimes asking me to turn on backup.

I just started playing this. It's so fun!

It's acting up, so the feed doesn't work, but if you go to the profile of someone you already subscribed to you can kinda see their posts? It's weird

At this point vpns are popular enough and have enough ads about them that most people will be able to look up 'free vpn' on the app store and download the first one that comes up. They're not difficult to use at all

(assuming that's what they mean by "the fediverse", the use of which was the first big hint that humans didn't write this text)

What do you mean? Do humans not say 'the fediverse'? I've seen plenty of people use it. We are even in a community called fediverse

See what? Posts from threads? Depends on your instance and how you browse.

Lemmy has no microblogging features so you won't be seeing any (unless they're specifically posting to Lemmy)

Kbin I'm not too sure since there are microblogging features but idk how they work.

Mastodon; you will see posts from threads users if you follow them, or if someone you follow boosts a post from them.
If you browse by the explore/posts tab, you might see some threads posts. Also from the 'All'/federated tab.
You'll be able to block threads for your account, or choose an instance that's defederated.

I always used it when I had one.

Now, I use an adapter for headphone jack to USB-C. Every day.

I don't agree at all here. If someone on threads has posts you like, you can follow them. If not, you won't see any posts from threads on your feed.

Your feed will either be the same as before, or better than before.

What do you mean discovery feeds? Like the federated/all tab?

Because those feeds only show posts that the instance knows about, which is (mostly) posts from people that at least one person on your instance followed.

If you check the all tab on a small instance, it's a lot quieter than it is on something like mastodon.social.

Part of the money goes to the Trevor Project. (By default 5% of what you pay, but you can choose how much goes to Publishers, Trevor Project, and Humble Bundle in the Adjust Donation section)

My solution:

YouTube

Imgur

Try to find your own :)
