Yes. Thank you for this. This explains this fan base better than I’ve heard.

So give up on going for a QB like that. If that's the case I'd rather just draft o-line and defense and just hope ground and pound running and a turnover heavy defense wins... Although dominant D's haven't proven to be consistent year in and out.
So just play without a QB... Ballsy.
Welcome to a rebuild with a franchise who likes to have a total lack of continuity between their drafts and head coaching hires.
I would have preferred they win and finished the season 8-9 or so. Them losing out is bad for the bears future.
I don’t know why this is getting downvoted. Part of the reason for drafting Mitch was that he drove an old Corolla.
There’s not much fields can do to make me want to pass on Caleb William’s
He’s amazing and I’d much rather have Williams. It’s not close
I keep hearing this stat and it's a good one... I want to see what the pass defense looks like over the next 6 weeks. It's easy to not run the ball when you don't get sacks and have all day to throw. Last night was better but it's hard to assess how good it is against a legit offense. Let's see what the total defense does against detroit, then we can talk about "improvements"
As far as coaching... I would just much rather have a guy like Harbaugh and do a move like the cubs did. This organization has literal rookies at every level. GM, Coach, OC, ~~DC,~~ QB (I guess you could say Fields isn't a rookie) and good majority of the team. There's just way too many variables in there for things to most likely go well.
I think this is the biggest challenge / hurdle to objective insight here. The number of OSU fans want Justin to work out and makes a lot of sense why they would love MHJ.
