Looks like there is a bug that makes this game unstable on some kernels (like in default Ubuntu):

It's even more of a pain in the ass with the switch from just EAC to EOS. It is possible to disable it in the platform.cfg at least. The client seems to be in way better shape though, much improved FPS and tons of new content.
