I think some of the really fancy installs have a secondary tankless water heater for the shower....

I think I saw that somewhere.

I immediately thought of the variant of this story I've heard when I read the post.

In the variant I heard: grandma never had bakeware that could fit the entire roast.

Same difference. I kinda like yours better.

See, this makes me think one of two things: Either she couldn't make anything more complex (or couldn't be bothered to.... Take your pick), or she knew it was "good enough" for her kid, and didn't care to spend any more money on making him a "pizza". Because let's face it, a slice of bread, a slice of cheese and a squirt of ketchup is really inexpensive. The most costly thing there is the slice of cheese.

Rich people can be cheap... In fact, that's usually how they become rich.

Because America put a deranged convict into, what is arguably the most powerful position in the world. Congress won't challenge him, so he's running amok while his party turns a blind eye to the obvious human rights violations that are constantly happening.

The whole "worst of the worst" line for who that are deporting is, and always has been a lie. They just want POCs to suffer and die because they're Nazis.

Yep. The technology of the time was pretty limiting. We have better tech and could do it better and more reliably but we don't.

None of these answers are wrong.

Pretty sure we had CRTs in highschool, back when I was a teen many years ago that were Kia brand... IIRC.

Manufacturing of any kind always causes an environmental impact. This is the way of things.

The one thing we can't get that would mitigate the environmental costs of making stuff, is if stuff was built to last....

Honda built a rocket

Me: of course they did.

They launched the rocket

Me: naturally.

They landed the rocket.

Me: on the first try?

Maybe, but he had already spun the fake news narrative to his deciples, so it was easy for them to hand wave all of the convictions away as fake news based on absolutely no evidence.

Given the relative intelligence of each set of followers, I'm not surprised that they could do the mental gymnastics to disregard such a verdict.

Meanwhile, I'm not even sure Gaiman has been convicted, but he's being treated like he's guilty by the public, so here we are.

I just haven't bothered to keep up to date with his situation because, though I previously enjoyed things with his name attached, I've never been "a fan" so to speak, of the man himself. I neither liked, nor disliked him. Now I have reasons to dislike him. IDK. I'm just some guy.
