We have never not needed these.

We just forgot that they are required.

I'm sure the French could give us some pointers though.

I had a similar experience with Samsung. I had a bunch of evo 870 SSDs up and die for no reason. Turns out, it was a firmware bug in the drive and they just need an update, but the update needs to take place before the drive fails.

I had to RMA the failures. The rest were updated without incident and have been running perfectly ever since.

I'd still buy Samsung.

I didn't lose a lot of data, but I can certainly understand holding a grudge on something like that. From the other comments here, hate for Seagate isn't exactly rare.

Why do you wound me like this?

I too, am old.

I'm here for it. Let's speed run the next cosmic reboot.

I gave up. I own my name as a domain.

So if my name was John Doe, as an example, my domain would be Johndoe.com and my email would be John@Johndoe (dot) com.

My name isn't John Doe.

Gmail is cool and all, but it's pretty sweet to have my custom domain name and email.

The domain I really want is just my last name, so I can be firstname@lastname (dot) com.

Unfortunately my last name isn't uncommon and the last time I checked, the squatters on the domain were asking like $3k usd for it.

All kind of nope on that.

Honestly, between Batman and iron man, aside from the obvious gadgets that don't exist, it's more believable than any other "superhero" story out there. A rich guy dresses up in a costume and beats up "criminals" (the poors) for fun and entertainment, rather than use their vast wealth to fund programs that would actually help society.

Add in a bit of masochism, and that's basically America in a nutshell.

Beat people when they have no option other than to rob, or steal, just to survive.

You're thinking of dinner. A diner is a place that serves food.

Yeah. That last bit of your edit is the entire reason why I doubt any of the numbers .... Him scoring higher than me, that's kind of expected.

Bluntly, if I'm actually in the top 2%, then I don't want to live on this planet anymore... Because I'm downright goddamned removed at times.

I don't mean removed as a slur, I mean, I exhibit traits of someone who is mentally held back (aka mentally removed).

Don't at me.

Edit. Dunno why that word is now "removed" ... Some automod thing I'm sure; I'll let you all fill in the gaps.

As they say, there's two kinds of people in the world, those that can extrapolate from incomplete data.

I already don't like voting. I'm pretty sure most millennials only vote because there's generally one insane option, and one complete lunatic option, and we just want things to get worse as slowly as possible.

Give us anything that resembles rational and we'll just let the next generation take the reigns.

Oh right, let me correct my wording.

Thanks.

I know, I was certainly spending time with him during the alleged attack. He couldn't have done it while sat across from me at that diner, many miles away from where the crime happened.
