One of my favorites. And doesn't even need to use words for a punchline

I put a ton of hours into KF1 but never got quite that far into KF2. I could blame it on the progression but I can't really remember if it was all that different from the first game, so I'd probably chalk it up to not having the free time of a college student anymore.

That being said, 3rd entries are rough. You could tell that the first game was made on a limited budget, so 2 offered the opportunity to expand on graphics and gameplay in ways there just couldn't afford before. But once you've done that, how do you expand further? Seems like the answer for this one is "chasing hero shooter trends" which I don't think they needed

There's also no way to really tell what the "cost" of generative AI is on creative fields, or any way to determine who gets what money. There aren't going to be enough grants to cover every small, independent artist whose work is buried beneath mountains of AI slop

And like, the obvious issue is who is going to enforce this? Pretty much every government has been cozying up with the billionaire tech bros that run AI companies and will fight tooth and nail against any legislation like this proposal

In addition to what others have said, SmartTube has options to remove them on Android TV devices

I don't know about others, but when I'm getting an indie game I want to know that my money is going to them and not just throwing money into a subscription with no way of knowing how much the devs get

Yeah it doesn't even need to make it to the courts. Lawyers for big companies will still throw their weight around and tiny indies don't have the resources to even contest frivolous lawsuits

I'm just a little sad at the idea of having to abandon every online space because tech bros refuse to turn off their plagiarism machines. The internet is not all good but there's a lot of little places where things shine through that wouldn't be feasible in real life

But how do you prevent those smaller spaces from being encroached on by LLMs? If they can write fake reviews they can write fake user profiles, and small spaces often have tiny mod teams that can't react quickly to rapid nonsense machines

So this pineapple... Lives under the sea?

Seems like a normal, sane and totally not-biased source

I tried this game on the Wii U because I wanted to run around in a mech, but I bounced off the combat hard and never even got to the point where I got a Skell. Any tips for combat?

Still shutting down, but the union was able to secure a much better severance package for the employees getting laid off

I imagine many places will try to ignore these changes, because otherwise this ruins a lot of the point of playing these old formats
