I'm using X because on Wayland windows sometimes disappear from view. I can't even blame Nvidia because I'm all Intel.

It wasn't for me. I felt it took away a lot of my control and did things its way which would be fine if it matched my use case.

I was considering a switch to it and put it on my play-puter to see what it was like. Despite the alpha status, it was perfectly usable and I didn't have a single crash, perhaps I got lucky. I ended up staying with Tumbleweed in the end.

openSUSE Tumbleweed with Plasma. It's the perfect combination!
