Xorg on my desktop. kwin-wayland still has many problems for me, from major things like windows vanishing and screen flickering with my Nvidia card to minor but annoying things like a random system tray pop-up popping up after clearing notifications. Also the force blur kwin script is not working under wayland.

Wayland on my Intel only laptop because it mostly works (apart from the pop-ups)

Have a look at this for info on swappiness. As for your swap, if it's not causing you problems, it can't hurt to have it.

Those defaults sound pretty sensible. I have as much swap as I have RAM because I set things up to hibernate. I believe pop os has the swappiness set to 180 for using the zram.

Not in my experience but that could be to do with my nvidia card.

I tried it on my play-puter and while it was certainly nostalgic, it wasn't enough to make me switch from Plasma.

I'll add Trinity to the list. It started as a fork of KDE 3.5.

Centralise what's decentralised and decentralise what's Centralised and you'll look like a genius.

The ginger. He was named Greebo after Nanny Ogg's cat because he too fights anything.
