On Manjaro, compatibility issues with the AUR may occur, which happened a few times for me, while that won’t happen on Arch.
You can prevent that by using their unstable repositories which mirror the Arch repositories.

I don't think he was ever on the rails.
Jetbrains IDEs (IntelliJ and Pycharm) and QtCreator. I also use git, gcc, and valgrind.

What I would do is create and use a new user to see if it happens with a stock setup and if not I would make my configuration changes one by one to see what caused it.

I’m looking forward to the day I get to eventually just move off of Nvidia hardware.
I accidentally ordered my Nvidia card. I had the one I'd been recommended open in a tab so I could compare AMD cards to it and ordered the wrong one! Instead of doing what I should have done and returning it and ordering the AMD, I thought how bad can it be? Well now I know!
