To be fair, "resending" isn't going to trigger a red squiggly. That word choice does indicate a fundamental lack of knowledge and reflection on the part of the author though. Rescinding and resending aren't quite antonyms but for fuck's sake the author should be expected to be at minimum competent with the language.

Even these numbers are fucking infuriating. The IRS creates a way to file your taxes for free instead of paying a company for the privilege - 61% approve. What the fuck is wrong with people who would disapprove of that?

For what it's worth, plenty of us who have lived here our entire lives reject US exceptionalism, protestant work ethic, etc.

It's actually still totally awesome, you just have to remember to have fun.

"There's a man in the bathroom and there's something hard in his pants!"

Hypocrisy, like I said. I know it's an oxymoron, you know it's an oxymoron, but that doesn't stop them from co-opting the term and confusing people.

Johnson would be better but his Mr Bean act is totally on purpose. He acts like that so you wouldn't think him capable of far right cruelty. I've read that he even intentionally messes up his hair before he goes in front of cameras.

There are currently more empty homes in the US than there are homeless people. There are roughly 30 empty units for each homeless person.

If we treat the new testament as Jesus fan fiction, then a lot of their shit is fan fiction of the fan fiction. Stuff like the rapture is not in the bible.

Anarcho-capitalists have been around for a long time. I think they usually call themselves libertarian.

I get the hypocrisy, but they don't.

I don't think they've actually approved a war since Korea. They ceded that power to the president. Congress never declared war on Vietnam, Iraq x2, or Afghanistan. And that's just the big ones.

Notice how 90% of them disappeared after the election?
