I have been vegetarian for about 8 years, was vegan for maybe 6, and ‘lapsed’ back into vegetarian about the same time I started transitioning. I just noticed my body was suddenly craving certain foods after years, and felt that I spent long enough not listening to my body as an egg, so started having eggs and cheese again. It’s also overall cheaper to be vegetarian than vegan and eat healthily, in my experience.
Might go back to vegan at some point later in life, but am content where I am, diet wise at the moment.
