Patent this right now

Never cared for this type of stuff while I was on Facebook. It's been ages though. I don't miss it one bit.

Nooo kitty! Glad to know you got the cat back inside :) And yes, the owl too.

Poor thing it must have been very cold. Once I found a parrot stuck in a pool in summer, and took it to the vet. The parrot was fine but had hypothermia.

Catholics perform circumcision?

The minute we get clothing that can do this, it will happen. This comic is ahead of its times

After knowing about the meme I looked up the movie and I'm sure I watched at least part of it when I was a kid, on air tv. I remembered the bug designs, which were the reason it caught my interest, I remember the action scenes with the bugs were fun, but I also remembered the plot and acting was a bit lacking.

I didn't remember the "I'm from Bs. As." line, I'm sure I would have found that absolutely hilarious even back then. Maybe I forgot or maybe I got too distracted during the several commercial breaks and missed some bits, can't say

Yes negative but not always about wishing suffering onto youth. Examples: "kids these days have no manners", "kids these days have no respect for xyz", etc.

So... No link?

[–] Mothra@mander.xyz 7 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

I agree with the message, though I have seen the phrase "kids these days" used in a broad variety of cases. I wouldn't say every older person using it is wishing the younger ones to suffer

If it's short enough you can convert it into an animated gif

As the title says. I thought that was brilliant on Reddit, just checking people's profiles would lead to some cool discoveries of communities I would have never thought of by myself.

Is this a feature somewhere?

Edit: of course users have the option to not show these, no I don't want to violate anyone's privacy

Ahoy! I know this has been asked a lot already, I've been following up and doing some research online but I'm still confused. Sorry.

1-I'm not exactly tech savvy. (Ok. I'm thick as a brick) 2-I'm a very casual BitTorrent user. I'll go months without torrenting.

3-I do stream more frequently.

4-I travel often, meaning I don't often have admin access to the networks I connect to

I currently have Nord. I heard it's no longer as trusted as it used to, and since my subscription is ending I'm wondering if I should jump ship.

I read I should be using Port Forwarding, and I get the concept of it somewhat but I'm still not sure if I need it (considering my casual torrent use, so far... I've been ok?), and also, I have no idea how to set that up. (would #4 be a problem?).

Now, VPN: Mullvad, AirVPN, and Proton seem to be the most reliable ones. Is that right?

Air has good pricing atm, and port forwarding. I heard it's not too user friendly though? (#1)

Mullvad seems to have a solid rep. but no port forwarding (It used to? Their website doesn't say much unless I create an account?)

Proton: has PF, seems good too

Or should I just stick with Nord?

TLDR which VPN should I go for considering 1,2,3,4, and should I consider port forwarding in my decision?

Thanks

So I keep seeing these referenced in various media formats but I don't recall ever seeing one on the menu where I live (Australia). Maybe they are sold under a different name? Maybe only in some places and I wasn't paying attention? I don't know, but I sure know I've never ordered one.

Am I missing out? What do these taste like? What's the hype all about?

Also- is there a popular food/drink you aren't against trying, that you haven't tried yet?

I've never had a Pumpkin Spice Latte. I guess I could go to ask lemmy or no stupid questions, and ask what does it taste like or of I'm missing out on something but that doesn't really feel like what those places are for.

So, is there any community you think I could start a conversation about that?

Hi Lemmings. Just wondering if you have any recommendations for this. I used to work with Clockify but I'm wondering, since there is a solid FOSS userbase here, if you know of a good, simple, offline, reliable no-frills app that tracks time spent working and can actually tell if I'm idle/afk .

Thanks!

Keyword artist , or band/group name. I'm not looking for a genre, I want to search artists. Tell me about someone you like listening to.

Would appreciate if it's Not symphonic/orchestral movie/videogame OST. I know there is a lot of really good music in this category but I'm trying to avoid recommendations like Hans Zimmerman or Jeremy Soule or Enya etc., since they are either really well known or fall into the orchestral and/or "epic music score" I'm not looking for.

It's OK if some tracks have vocals or even some lyrics/voice samples but I prefer to keep them at a minimum.

Any suggestions? TIA

Edit: I've found a method to improve this, I'll edit the post below. Photo attached!

I made a mistake, and bought a bag of muesli thinking it was cereal clusters. There is nobody else to blame other than my stupidity.

I don't think I know how to eat this thing. It's practically rolled oats with bits of fruit and nuts and all bran kind of cereals added in the mix but hardly noticeable.

I tried eating it like cereal, adding it to yoghurt or milk. It tastes like insipid cardboard flakes sprinkled with fruit. I tried cooking porridge with it, that was an improvement but I still find it boring.

Perhaps you have some suggestions on how to actually enjoy eating what's left of it? Bonus points if you know how to make it crunchy.

Thanks

Edit: I don't typically add sugar to things or even buy sugary cereal. My problem with this thing is the texture first and foremost. Thanks for your concern on how much processed foods I don't buy or like are harming my life.

Edit 2: Tried the overnight method, it's better than porridge as the consistency is much firmer and less slimey. Plus, it's cold already.

Toasting or baking on a tray makes it so much better and crispy, it doesn't feel chewing cardboard anymore.

Finally I tried making clusters and this is the best method for me. Just let the muesli soak a few hours in water until it takes a semisolid consistency. I spread the paste in blotches on a tray, and baked for around an hour at low heat. These clusters are very crunchy!

Photo shows the round container with the muesli straight out of the bag vs the toasted and clustered versions I made in the other container.
