Oh no, it has Monk in it. I can't see Tony Shalhoub as anyone other than Mr. Monk.

Probably like, 95% of the people in my city are either neutral or supportive of LGBT people. The last 5% are so fucking insane that it's still scary to be LGBT. - (major Texas city)

Edit: I kinda assume this is unique because I'd think most places are either safe (with the occasional heckler) or completely unsafe. Texas seems special because it seems like most people don't care or are supportive, but then you get the nutjob who's entire reality is shattered by the idea that you aren't straight and/or cisgendered and all they can do is get apocalyptically mad about your existence.

Edit 2: oh yeah, on a less depressing note, iirc Texas is like, sorta kinda half canyon. Iirc Palo Duro canyon doesn't really have an end to it, it just kinda.... widens until it becomes part of the normal landscape (I might be thinking of a different canyon though). As such, you could basically consider anything downstream from the canyon as being inside the canyon, resulting in a huge chunk of Texas existing in a canyon!

Yeah, this seems like, "we don't care unless you care; we're just giving you information so you know whether or not you care"

I couldn't get through Halo 4's campaign when it was released as part of the MCC, nor was I able to get though Halo Infinite's (it wasn't bad, just... meh; nowhere near as good as the Bungie campaigns but not trash either, just not as good). I would still like the option to play Halo 5 on PC just so I have the ability to play the main campaign, plus I've heard it's the best multiplayer Halo? But yeah. Even if I never actually play it, it's nice to have the option.

On a tangential note, I think 343's Halo games would have been considered good if it wasn't for Bungie's Halo. I don't think their campaigns are honestly bad, per se (though again, haven't tried to play H5), they're just bad in comparison to the "OG" games.

I'm pretty sure I've read Qobuz has the highest payout of any streaming service, plus you can actually buy music. Also afaik Qobuz never jumped on the mqa scam train. Tidal wasn't even giving you lossless music when you asked for lossless music for the longest time.

No one's mentioned Qobuz either. It's like Spotify+iTunes except lossless.

Wow, that actually might not be the worst idea for getting over streamer stage fright.

I'm unironically amazed that Texas is supposedly perfectly average while California is below average. I bet it's all the Texas engineers offsetting the Texas bigots, while the California techbros offset the California tech geniuses.

(I'm saying this as a Texan)

Ye, I got that part, OP's response was what threw me for a loop, but I think I understand what happened with OP's response.

  • guy calls out op, believing OP's brain to be fake (in more ways than one, if you catch my meaning)

  • OP doesn't know much about human anatomy either, thinks "shit, what if they're right and it was mislabeled? Fuck, how do I recover?"

  • OP decides to play the fool, pumping up their self-confidence under the assumption that smokinliver is correct, thereby satisfying the Dunning-Kruger effect.

  • OP decides to add a bugs bunny clip as a "wink wink, nudge nudge" (to indicate they're not being serious)

  • no one gets it and everyone thinks OP is a moron and a dick.

I remember trying something very similar when I was a teenager which is how I learned that playing the fool is not a good recovery method lol

Amusingly, smokinliver appears to be wrong (I literally did a Google search for "side view of a healthy human brain" and got OP's pic): https://sciencephotogallery.com/featured/side-view-of-a-healthy-human-brain-garry-watsonscience-photo-library.html

Edit: wait, is the joke supposed to be that it is not a human brain? That OP found a not-human brain labeled as "human brain", therefore demonstrating the Dunning-Kruger effect? I'm confused.
