I have made the extremely bad decision to start working on my Rstudio project one day before the deadline. I don't know anything at all about R and I am falling at the first hurdle of not being able to knit a pdf.

Who would have thought that ignoring my academic responsibilities would come back to bite me?

This is the most fucked I have been though, usually when I leave an essay till the last day I can lightning read and hand in an essay full of bullshit. I don't understand the first thing about coding and I used all the time I should have been studying to do stupid things that weren't important at all.

Just had a panic attack. That hasn't happened in a long time. How nostalgic

This year I want to let myself do whatever I want with my appearance. I've held myself back from looking how I want to look in case other people disapprove in the past, and I don't want to do that anymore. I want to cut my hair, shave my beard off, wear my contact lenses more, dye my hair white and change my fashion sense to be a lot funkier and weirder

My sister has gone back to her place but her boyfriend is staying here another night, and everyone in the family is expecting me to entertain him. Man idk what to do with him, we get along when we're in a group socialising, but idk what to say to him one to one

It seems like no one at all is excited for 2024.

Uh oh! I thought about my teenage years and the origins of my depression and anxiety and how my parents didn't believe me and now I want to cry! Oopsie! Shouldn't do that!

The best unintentional comedy I've seen is in Oppenheimer, in one of the last and most dramatic scenes of the movie, when they namedrop JFK like he's a minor marvel character. They're like "oh whats this? This John Kennedy fellow seems to have voted against us, but I'm sure he's just some nobody." I would love to see more marvel brain moments in other movies. What if Mamma Mia had an after credits scene where they were like "oh some small Swedish band is coming to stay in the hotel soon, I can't remember what they're called... ABBA or something? I've never heard of them." And then it cuts to black. More movies should do this

Irish dancing lives on though! It's cool as hell and pretty popular among men as well

"It's a fact you must-hear(d)"

I think Biden got his hands on the white house computer because this is incoherent

I also came to say Terraria. It has such a great progression from fantasy monsters and swords and magic, then you get a musket, then a laser gun, and by the end of the game you're using a sword that shoots Nyan cats. It's style is so distinctive, despite being a mishmash of different genres and media references. I can't think of any other game that lets you progress from nearly helpless to master of the world in such a satisfying way.

Also Hardmode is imo where the game hits it's peak. It's a bit more linear in terms of boss order, because you don't have to actually fight any bosses pre-hardmode except the wall of flesh to advance, but in Hardmode you gotta go mech bosses -> plantera -> golem-> moon lord. But I think that works well, because it means there's a few different tiers of progress you can make in Hardmode.
