We're not actively destroying redundant communities unless one gets abandoned by a moderator or has zero posts for more than a few days while the other comm is active. Otherwise, we welcome the diversity of viewpoints and interests that multiple comms provide.
That said, if communities with similar interests want to join, we're happy to nuke the one that doesn't need to continue.
