Listening to the San Francisco 49ers on the radio in the 1990s, last week of the season, we needed them to win to make the playoffs, I didn't think there was any way they would lose because they were always good. They lost.

This is prospect fatigue. This is the exact same phenomenon that had people talking themselves out of Peyton Manning 25 years ago.

Patrick Mahomes played his senior year for a 5-7 Texas Tech team that went 1-6 down the stretch. Patrick Mahomes is now the best QB in the world.

Yeah none of these things you just posted are true

I mean, I won't judge Maye until I see the video, but a quick glance says his team has 7 points at halftime and he's completed less than 50% of his passes.

You should probably watch Williams' game today too

Stroud. I'm sorry, but you have to get out of QB hell when the opportunity arises. The bears right now are in QB hell.

Fields is a bad quarterback. Williams or maye might be a good quarterback. Quarterback is the most important position on the field.

My honest opinion? I don't care a lot either way. I would lean towards firing everyone, but if they don't I don't think it's a tragedy.

Very very very few coaches are actually good and a few are very bad but the vast majority are Just Guys whose fortunes rise and fall on QB play, luck and the shifting scheme meta.

I have some concerns about some of Poles' apparent philosophies, but he clearly wasn't building with years 1 and 2 in mind.

If you go to the 31 other NFL team subreddits, you'll find probably 25 of them copy-pasting all the same stuff we say about how their owner/gm/coach are the stupidest ever and nothing could ever change until they get rid of them.

Trestman couldn't put together a competent offense?

There is no scheme you can tailor to Justin Fields

[–] MiddleNameIsJoe@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The fan base has no idea what good QB play looks like and constantly makes excuses for him because he's likable.

Fields is a career killer. Every single player or coach he works with leaves town with a worse reputation than they had before working with fields.

Show me a college qb prospect who doesn't need to adjust to the complexities and speed of pro offense
