Unfortunately for him and us, all the games count and raw stats don't win

Bad team is bad. The defense will never be able to stop a decent QB when it counts, the offense will never be able to be counted on in key situations
This team is starting to reflect poles' vision, it's just that poles' vision isn't very good
I thought he was ok, maybe even bordering on good. Ironically, he played more like Bagent. Avoiding negative plays (would have liked to see him check out at the line a lot more, some of those run plays were obviously defeated pre-snap and he just let them go anyway), few big passes outside of the one excellent touchdown throw.
But he wasn't, like, great. Most of the points came because he was getting insane field position.
A competent coach won't want him
I've been trying to tell Bears fans this for years. Even if you can squeeze some half-decent performances like today out of Fields with designed runs and moving pockets, it's not something that works late in games when you *have* to score. It's not an accident a coincidence that Fields has spent three years failing in these situations.
It's not hard to find another coaching staff. It's very hard to find another QB.
You can cry about the coaches. You can cry about the defense. But the ball was in Justin Fields' hands with a chance to win and he failed. The ball was in Jared Goff's hands with a chance to win and he succeeded. That's not an accident or coincidence.
And there's Justin Fields. He had time to get rid of the ball or shift in the pocket and just didn't.
As long as he keeps it to one a game, you can live with it.
Giants, Cardinals and Panthers all within 1 score in the 4th quarter. Tank standings could shift significantly.
Fields loves letting pitches run straight into uncovered blitzers without checking out of them.
You know how I know Fields isn't the guy?
There are people ready to criticize him. There are people ready to talk about how it's not his fault when we lose. There's virtually no one who really believes he's going to come out and lead us to a win in the second half,
You can't hope your defense holds a good team to 7 points in the first half. You need to score points to win in the nfl against decent teams.
We're done scoring today. Detroit's going to flood the box, disrespect Fields' ability to beat blitzes, and swarm.
I remember when everyone was pissed at him for not taking the field goal in the Denver game
Fire him because he's in charge of a terrible defense.
