Oh wow. Can we maybe check their entire careers to see if it's a pattern or just an occasional thing?

It's the QB's job to see the pass rush coming from his vision side and take literally one step up in the pocket.

People will act hysterical at the mere suggestion that an NFL qb could ever be asked to perform such a heroic task, but that's the truth of it

Absolutely not.

Justin Fields is a bad qb and you can't saddle a third coaching staff with him

As always, pff grades are random pseudoscience and we should all stop caring about them

I'm pretty sure the ball was in his hands out last three offensive plays.

First came a read-option where he chose to hand it off

Then came a pass where he chose to take a low-percentage deep shot

Then finally a dropback where he showed the pocket awareness of a street sign and fumble-safetied

Yesterday showed me exactly why we have to draft a QB.

In the NFL, you have to execute and stop two-minute drills to win consistently

Goff scored 3 touchdowns on three tries in those situations.

Justin Fields couldn't score three if you gave him 12 tries

I think my biggest takeaway from this game is it shows how flawed poles' vision for the roster is.

In the modern NFL, run defense and run offense barely matter. You have to be able to execute and stop two-minute drills. We can do neither and we aren't building toward being able to do either.

The QB made the decision to throw that ball, not the coaches

[–] MiddleNameIsJoe@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It wasn't the playcall, it was the decision.

The route isn't meant to be thrown, especially in that situation. It's meant to be a clear out for the underneath routes.

We weren't in a prevent defense.

We have too many other flaws to replace brisker, but he shares plenty of the blame for why we consistently get torched by good QBs. He's not a coverage safety.

Jackson should have been good two or three years ago

And we are picking QB every single time. I don't believe a wr has ever gone no. 1 overall and with good reason
