That's not why he takes sacks
He takes sacks because he has poor pre-snap reads, poor pressure recognition, and poor pocket movement.
It's not because he's dancing around back there trying to make big plays.
Either fields is gone after this season or you pick up the option. There's no sense in letting him be your starting QB in a contract year where if he pans out you have to try to sign him.
Mostly people were obsessed with the idea that nagy was the stupidest coach ever and was singlehandedly sinking both fields and the entire roster, and literally anyone would be better.
He's almost as good as peak Trubisky after all this improvement

Amusingly, the one thing Bagent and fields have in common is that they absolutely cannot succeed in situations where the defense knows they have to pass.

He is, however, a problem. And given that he plays the most important position, a fairly serious one.
