People are going to lose their shit over screen passes, but it's honestly the best option given our QB's limitations.

That's how you beat the blitz. Beating the blitz is all on the QB.
Like it or not, screen passes are an integral part of beating a blitz-heavy defense.

Who ever, ever once, told you you can't win with a mobile QB?
Obviously you can win with a mobile qb. You will struggle to win with a bad mobile QB. Which is what we have.
Josh Allen has 12 career 4th quarter comeback wins and 16 career late game-winning drives. (Justin Fields has 1 and 2 of those things.)
The only way this post is true is if your definition of "clutch" is literally "only overtime matters and nothing else.". Which would be a bad definition.

Hell, Tyson Bagent has more rushing tds than fields this season.
It is bad. Josh Allen does enough positive things to overcome that bad thing, which is why he's finished top 3 in the MVP voting twice.
Justin Fields does a lot of bad things besides interceptions, which is why he is consistently near the bottom of advanced QB metrics and going to be replaced this offseason no matter how much truther cope gets posted.
It's not progressions he struggles with. It's identifying when the play is defeated by the defensive look and needs to be checked.
This sub has been doing this forever. Overrate pretty much every player individually, then when the results don't match up to our beliefs, blame the coaching.
Not that the coaching isn't bad too. It is. When you're 6-22 over the last two seasons, all the parts are bad.

Screens are a fantastic anti-blitz option. Especially when your QB is known for having problems hitting blitz beater hot routes.
