They are more folk/country and rock, so not really your tastes, but I've been really enjoying Pepper Coyote.
Asking for "genuinely good" in the title is a little loaded, though, since a lot of music taste is subjective.
Honestly, this is 100% the solution for this problem, especially for sharing with a child.
Now, the issue of having a "license" and rights to play a game, vs actually owning the game is still a valid point of contention.
The microwave, because my roommates insist on having a model that beeps every 30 seconds after it finishes cooking so you don't forget you had food in there. They still forget, though. It just gets on my nerves while I try to wash some dishes while waiting for the microwave to finish, or if I'm using it as part of prepping while cooking.

If I'm going to be fighting with Windows anyway, because of the registry giving me issues, then the drawback of "but Linux hard! You have to configure things!" was moot.
I mean, on the one hand, it isn't a consumer card. It is meant for business and professional use at the highest end. On the other hand, that is an absolutely ridiculous pricetag!
If your dad draws anthro artwork frequently, and has been for a while, then he probably already knows what furries are. He might not be one, but I'd bet he has at least an understanding if he's involved in any online art communities at all.

That's what I figured. If it was raining over the clear part of the river, I'd assume all the runoff from the land around it would make it muddy as well. The heavy storm is probably up river and washing all the muddy water down, until it gets blocked by the beaver dam.
For sure it's likely either a learned helplessness or a passive indifference. People like to give up before they even try.
