Pretty sure the Char from last week's episode is one of Gihren's clones. Looks like the Lalah from the Rose is UC Prime Lalah - the cockpit is damaged in the right place, and she's got the psycommu suit on.

GQX Lalah said she kept dreaming about the white suit killing her "red officer" over and over again on "the other side." This makes me wonder if it's either a mistranslation of the Prime UC events, or we're going to see a convergence of multiple timelines:

  • Prime: Lalah dies
  • "Other side": Char dies
  • ???(GQX maybe?): Amuro dies(?) (Side 7 civilians still ended up in the federation army somehow even without the White Base, and Sayla was noted as the one who took down Dozle in her Light Guncannon)

Statistically speaking he's likely to be either buying or raising funds for more spraypaint.

I don't care what your mom says, you're getting a few more pixels!

But only a few.

I am convinced that given enough time, the gene for Tries Crazy Shit and the gene for Has Mad Skills will converge.

I broke the cycle. Stepped away from toxic family just in time for the alt-right hole to start sucking everyone in. Now I get to watch as my nieces and nephews get subjected to the cycle.

It's fucking depressing.

And have you ever seen a hurricane? Not on TV. Not on “satellite images” (which are just more made up computer pictures). I mean with your own eyes.

Indeed I have.

Hurricanes, nor'easters, the occasional derecho... a few tornados have been too close for comfort but nothing I could see. Have heard the freight train sound though.

Personally I blame those weird domes made of triangles. They're definitely causing the weather. cocks shotgun

I try to be that friend. Mostly, people are too busy being wrung dry by "life" to respond.

Upfront: the character animation is jank and I have no clue why that was considered acceptable given the overall effort that went into making things look pretty.

I went in with cautious optimism, because it's Netflix and they have a habit of butchering things. Not the case this time. It's 100% a Gundam show, alt-UC or no. My spouse was reluctant to start it tonight because she was beat after work and wasn't sure she was gonna be able to do more than one episode. After said one episode: "I'm awake." And so we finished it.

And now I want all those Zaku kits. Damn.

It took 14 years, but I finally got my spouse into Trek a while back with TNG. We are in the process of wrapping up season 6, and the question of where to go next has come up several times. The two obvious next steps:

  • TNG movies
  • DS9

And even then, there's chronology/production order. All the movies, then DS9? DS9, then the movies? Mix the movies into DS9? (Yes, I do realize that we "should" be mixing TNG and DS9 at this point if I'm going to bring chronology into the mix lol.)

But I'm still very much interested in getting her to watch TOS, if nothing else than for the base of knowledge. IMO it still holds up, save for some societal byproducts of its time. And love it or hate it, the remaster made going back a lot more palatable for people who might otherwise struggle to enjoy 60s effects. And from there it would be either TAS (which I have but haven't seen yet) or the movies... which flows nicely into Generations. As a bonus, all of this has been released on Blu-ray and is sitting on my shelf, and doesn't require paying for official SD versions of DS9 etc. (or setting up for viewing by unofficial means).

As for me, I never finished DS9 or Voyager... by the time the latter came out I was in high school and basically stopped having time to watch tv on a broadcaster's schedule. And then I was working nights by the time Enterprise came out... and then didn't start any of the newer shows because I wasn't caught up. ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ (So no spoilers please, same with opinions on the newer shows. It's been beat to death lol.)

tl;dr Keep on trucking or swing by the old haunts first?
