Maybe a little heavy on the gas, but I love the point of view.

If your not smart enough to build something as basic as a signal jammer your probably not smart enough to be the arbiter of who’s a terrorist and who’s a freedom fighter.

Maybe after reading that you could kick 20$ his way to show some appreciation.

Yeah. That’s awesome. People making nearly 8 times the average income should pay more taxes, but all this is going to do is persuade people making 500k/year to move out of state and then the state will lose 100% of that chunk of tax. They should just implement a flat tax and be done with it. Everyone pays the same percentage of their income. People making under X$/year pay zero. No other loopholes.

This is all I wanted for VII. You fans of tactics are lucky.

Good parents take care of their children, and provide a safe home to live in; however the children do not have an ultimate say. A good parent would have a discussion to explain the situation and also be sure the person moving in is safe to have around the children they’re responsible for, but ultimately the grownups pay the bills, put clothes on the children’s backs, and put food on the table. If the child feels entitled to an equal share vote in the household decisions then expectations should be managed.

history of the word mission

mission(n.) 1590s, "a sending abroad" (as an agent)

General sense of "that for which one is sent or commissioned" is from 1670s; meaning "that for which a person or thing is destined" (as in man on a mission, one's mission in life) is by 1805.

Meaning "dispatch of an aircraft on a military operation" (by 1929, American English)

was extended to spacecraft flights (1962), hence, mission control "team on the ground responsible for directing a spacecraft and its crew" (1964).

So I bought an Apple TV box like 6 months ago. The reason was that I was tired of the advertisements on the Android TV devices, and with every update they get slower and slower (except for the advertisements loading). I don’t have time to modify these devices above baseline stock. I have battled all kinds of “bugs” in the apps that I use regularly because of the differences between the development and capabilities on the two platforms. I still use my Apple TV even though the bugs persist, but if they add a goddamn advertisement to the iOS I will drop this motherfucker in the fires of Mount Doom without a second thought and go back to android and just use an alternative launcher.

I saw this on my feed about a month ago. https://youtu.be/c-y_qrzWEcg

In the path of totality at Carbondale IL. Carbondale Reservoir. Near Southern Illinois University. Thank you Carbondale!

iPhone 15 Pro Max. No skill whatsoever.

I was headed back home 1200 miles when at the first gas stop I let my bike fall over. I tried to park it away from the gas pumps to get off and stretch my legs. The spot I chose (poorly) was unleveled and the wind caught it and pushed it over. The tip over scratched the saddle bag and broke my brake lever. At my next stop I found an auto parts store for some steel stick epoxy to temporarily ‘weld’ the lever back together. I let it cure for a few 30 minutes before setting off angain, and then a few hours before using it properly, but that only lasted a few hundred miles. Everything is an easy fix, but damn I was utterly deflated the rest of the trip with my scratches of shame.

This guy has been visiting us regularly. I hope he takes care of our ground hogs for us.
