Dude wtf. The only thing I can think of is the possibility that after this is over it could possibly come back. I'm trying to be civil here but I'm getting real tired of nazis ruining everything. It's been only slightly over half a year. Can you believe it?

Edit: Would it be possible to download and re-upload all of PBS's content? There has to be a way to keep it in the public eye

Seems like someone(s) in the oil industry paid their way in

So, while this is going on, does anyone know of must-have games that could get targeted soon? My wishlist is pretty big, and I usually sit on stuff until I feel the need to play it, but if an indie dev is going to be unfairly targeted, I might as well grab stuff now.

Thank you! Yeah, I'm sure it'll get better at some point. It's just a pain in the ass lol

I struggle with being kind. I like being kind, and I try to be often. But I don't feel great, so it's been hard. It's kinda like the whole "put your oxygen mask on before assisting the person next to you".

I wana be kind to everyone, but I'm kinda just putting on a mask so that I don't bum people out and so that maybe other people can feel better.

I hadn't listened to that song in a while, and while it was relevant back in the day...it's disturbingly even more relevant now.

I wonder if their reporting and crying about "assaults" will cause a copycat effect that will actually cause legitimate attacks. That would be funny if it just backfired on em

Took a quick look for coverage in various news outlets, but it seems like they're glossing over the breach of privacy and focusing on keeping the border safe lol.

Either that or I suck at looking for coverage in mainstream media. Most of what I found was from June

Wouldn't doubt it. Hopefully, they're gone before it gets worse.

The administration is penalizing prospective students and visitors for shielding their social media accounts from the general public or for choosing to not be active on social media.

Damn that's creepy. Not active on social media? Screw you then.

I graduated college in 2019 and most of the people I went to school with didn't find work or related work. My gf has been looking for accounting work for the past 3 years or so? I keep hearing about the whole AI issue and how that's making it hard for companies and people to find each other. I also keep reading about people with masters degrees, unable to find jobs, so that's kinda scary.

I was lucky to find work, but it also terrifies me that if I leave, I'm going to end up with something less stable or harder for me to handle.

It really feels like the whole system is messed up. Makes me a little jealous/fearful when I see people who are able to job hop for promotions.

Sorry my thoughts probably aren't very coherent today

Does anyone else find it ironic that the employees were hesitant to do this? I'm sure many of them have their reasons for working that job. But it seems funny when AI is built off of stolen data, and then the employees are like "hey wait a minute, though. Don't use my data."

(Is there a more appropriate community to post this in?) Thank you in advance for any advice/help!

I've come across this build on PC part picker, but I was hoping someone could help me customize it a bit better for my needs. I'm going to be streaming, gaming, and editing videos on this machine.

I would like to future-proof the PC as much as I reasonably can (10-15 years' usage would be great).

My budget is probably around 2-3k CAD? I am over extending myself slightly, but I have used my PC daily for 12 years, and I figure if not now, when?

The only other thing I might consider is new monitors, but otherwise, I'll be reusing all my peripherals as those are more recently upgraded!

I was also thinking a better Nvidia card might be worthwhile? The main thing is I'm not familiar with how the parts work in terms of compatibility. That and electrical usage/needs from the power supply

Edit: are prebuilts any good nowadays? I'm not opposed to the idea. I know I could figure out assembly myself, but if there's something worthwhile, I wouldn't be opposed either.

Edit: Just want to say thank you for all the helpful advice and information. I ended up finding a PC that met my needs and then some!

What are your thoughts on this? Are you happy? Sad?

I'm extremely curious. If you asked me this as a kid, I would have been celebrating. I always thought games should be accessible to everyone. But now I'm questioning if Microsoft plans to keep the Xbox ecosystem alive.

Exclusive titles are/were the incentive to keep people on certain consoles. Currently, I think only gamepass and digital libraries would be the only reason to stay with Microsoft if they continue to make systems in the future.

Additionally, I'm curious as to how this could destabilize the market. With no direct competition for high end hardware (other than pc/the steam deck), Sony can kinda do whatever they please.

I feel like I've played a good amount of horror titles, and I find I don't really get scared much anymore.

What are some titles that scared you the most? I would love to hear your recommendations!
