Stupid this is downvoted, because it’s true. I own an Apple repair shop, and this is one of the most common things I have to explain.

How does it only work on iPhone 15 models but also on iPads that are a few years old?!? iPads with inferior chips to the A16 Bionic in the iPhone 14 Pro Max…

Yes. But if you’re obsessed with battery life like me, it’s a must have. Trade off is worth it, most of the time… I just know I couldn’t deal with less battery size which equals greater battery anxiety. I can barely handle it as is lol.
So it’s not just me. Noticed this the other day and was weirded out lol
The rice thing is actually a myth. Silica gel is effective but it should be in a ziploc bag with the silica gel, not in open air, as it’s more effective in an air locked environment.
With heavy use for a week and a half it should be evident if it’s fading away or not. If not I’d return it before the 2 week or 30 day return window, or get it replaced later under warranty.
