Of all places, /r/amiibo removed my edited post because they banned the term kbin.social. That was a jawdrop wtf moment for me lol.

I've already moved on from Reddit. I've deleted all of my content and unsubbed from about half of everything I cared about. My feed is completely pruned and even then only about a quarter of it is OC not posted by bots or click bait titles.

Plex just recently reopened it's sub for another vote to reopen or go restricted and the amount of support to stay open is sickening. Everyone left has become so dependant on the platform that they can't see leaving it, which is exactly what Reddit was hoping for with this.

In this day and age the answer is almost always money. Short term gains for the few over the many.

I've been using namecheap for years and redirect DNS through cloudflare. I think my yearly renewal is around $25. I've been thinking of transferring to cloudflare, but their pricing model is really expensive for their other products and don't really want to feel pigeonholed if my price gets inflated above what I already pay.

An annoying happy-go-lucky theme song plays for all to hear around you.

I love the original but for some reason wish they went with the 2.5D graphics engine used in the octopath games. I think that would have helped capture the timeless charm of the first while giving it a new lease on life.

I don't know what the stipulations were behind the scenes though, if Nintendo worked directly with Square to get this remake made (meaning they could have used that engine) or if they outright bought the rights to it. If they bought the rights then this would explain the graphical direction - on the plus side it would also give Nintendo the exclusive rights to Geno, Mallow and other characters to finally live in other Nintendo titles as they rightfully should.

I would love this for mobile view myself tbh. I'm used to RiF where I could view 10 posts at once before scrolling, but the kbin progressive app and mobile browser only give me 3-4 due to the content being stacked on top of the title. Moving it to the side like this would alleviate that to some degree I think.

I'm currently looking to replace my QNAP. My current unit is the second unit I've had of thier that has failed due to motherboard or processor failure and I'm sick of dropping $$$ each time they fail on a replacement unit to keep my data.
Next time my $$$ is going to a self built truenas server, at least this way I have control over replacing bad components and not reliant on a third party. It took 1 month to get my repaired unit back and data restored because the RAID was lost.

For a NAS it's very important because ECC allows write-back to your disks from cache in the event of a power failure. Without this, your data is at risk of being lost or RAID corrupting if you don't have battery backup and\or your battery backup fails during power outage.

I'm looking at building my own truenas server since my rack is only 22" depth, but I want a 12 bay hotswap array. Very challenging to find an matx board AND chassis that can fit the bill.

In kbin if you updoot it, it will show up in your profile. Not sure if there's another way in kbin atm as I'm still learning
