Japan on Thursday expressed its disappointment and "serious concern" over the U.S. move to impose reciprocal tariffs on the Asian nation's products, calling on Washington, its closest ally, to rescind the measure, which Tokyo says may violate global trade rules.

 

PARIS — French President Emmanuel Macron wants EU businesses to stop investing in America in response to U.S. President Donald Trump's massive tariffs.

 

“I used to have the news on the TV every morning for an hour or so as I got the children ready for school and completed my household tasks,” he said. “Now it has literally been switched off and unplugged. I can’t cope with it any more. It’s just too much and there’s nothing I can do about it.”

Though he dips into his favourite news apps occasionally in the evening, he now strictly limits his news consumption. He’s not alone. The Guardian has been contacted by a series of one-time news junkies who are now seeking to restrict their news intake after suffering from disturbed sleep or a downturn in their mood.

The director Megan Robertson told the tribunal: “When I read out the results for one of the award categories, I introduced it by referring to ‘she’ and then went on to say ‘sorry boys’. Given that approximately 95% of the workforce is female, this was not statistically surprising.”

So if men only make up 5% of the workforce, why single them out at the awards ceremony🤔 did she apologise to the other women who didn’t win? After all it’s not statistically surprising that only one person wins.

Sounds like the boss needlessly injected gender into the contest.

I still remember telling me that it was good that people weren’t fighting and that the non-violent protest was the best course of action for change meanwhile the state was grabbing people in vans and executing leadership.

"All our opponents and enemies should understand: do not hope, we will never repeat what we had in 2020," Lukashenko told a stadium in Minsk during a carefully choreographed ceremony Friday.
