I don't think anyone is offended or "getting all triggered" (projection, maybe?), I think OP is annoyed that the community isn't properly moderated (and I share that annoyance). Moderator action only became "oppressive" when we had centralised social media; in the old days of forums if you didn't like the moderators you just made your own forum, you'd complain about the old moderators but to complain about "oppression" would be laughable because they can have their website and you can have yours. Thankfully both OP and I have that option - if what the people here want is low-quality off-topic crap then that's what they can have, I could make my own mildly infuriating if I cared enough, and if others wanted they could go there - it's totally democratic.

I'm a fan of darker shades on flags, I'd say it's best to pick colours a touch deeper than you'd think when designing a flag. It stands out better when flying against the daytime sky.

Next time install Fedora!

First of all I wouldn't use a pre-installed OS (I would always wipe and install my own for security reasons).

Secondly: Thinkpads (at least when I bought mine, last year) let you buy them without an OS and don't charge you for it.

Thirdly: the linked manufacturers above tend to be either US-centric and/or more expensive than Thinkpads.

In English we call it "Marshmallow".

I think it's probably the most important piece of information to have when choosing a server.

While a lot of people have said "it can be used for harassment", I've not seen any information yet on how that could be. On the contrary, I think being open and up-front about federation policies is important for a healthy community - it avoids arguments about going behind people's backs.

Actually you're right and kbin.social works as well, I should have checked.

Only works with Lemmy instances I think, I'm not sure what the technical reasons are.
