I read it and I really liked it. The ending isn't everything I had hoped for but the world is great and well explored, the art is so weird yet so real, and the whole thing is long enough to feel full but not so long that it drags. It isn't my favorite comic book of all time, but it is easily top 10. I hope you will enjoy it like I did.

What are you, a cop?

Might be tough to get into but the old hanaman hospital is rad on the inside

The arena thing took like 2.5 years start to finish, not a few weeks. Also with how many millions they spent on advertising and paying union guys to sit in city council I'd be shocked if they didn't actually want to build in Chinatown.

And isn't the current pig mayor going to be running independent too?

[–] Mandarbmax@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

That would have been nice. Maybe next time

She used to be an English teacher too! Alas, the two most left leaning candidates in our mayoral race split the vote and without ranked choice Parker managed to win 😭

It would be chanting the name of a local sports team. This is something mayor Parker of Philly has managed to fuck up, chanting E L G S E S instead of E A G L E S because she is dumb as a rock and drunk as a skunk

The only valid Mamdani criticism.
