Bad enough. Looking cool is half the fun.

That's what I think as well. Consoles are always dictating hardware targets so it is no surprise that with more VRAM/RAM in consoles the texture sizes increase as well.

Is it the same type of cash shop they tried in Diablo 3 at first or something else?

I see, thanks for the insights!

I'd love to know this too if someone has any good suggestions.

I recently switched over from Outlook (which I found extremely annoying) to eM Client (not open-source unfortunately but free for 2 inboxes) which I like leagues better than Outlook. The only real open-source Outlook alternative (I know of) would be Thunderbird, if you haven't found it already. Haven't used it in a long while though. For Android I am using k9-Mail which is open-source but still pretty barebones. It's from the same guys as Thunderbird, or rather k9 Mail was taken over by the Thunderbird guys. For my needs it's perfectly fine but it can't do anything besides mail.

Exactly. And giving only their Super versions reasonable VRAM is Nvidias typical upsell tactic again.

Got it! Marvel Crisis Protocol looks cool but I don't have anyone to play haha

I see. Good looking Boba for sure. So do you mostly collect or do you also play?

[–] Magusbear@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 years ago

Always the same play...

I just had a quick look. Yea, that is unfortunately exactly the direction I dislike in core Legion already. I think it's a fine direction for a spin off game though and has the potential to play better than Legion.

What troops do you have? Because I had the feeling that the more troops I bought the less tactics I could employ and the less fun I had. We even build a small Tatooine space port and got really into making sure our minis were looking the best they could but we could never quite make the gameplay work out for us.

Nice minis! Looking good. Got some too:

Unfortunately me and my friends realized that we don't like the gameplay of Legion at all, especially the focus on Hero units. I still love my rebels but I don't think I will play them ever again. As for Shatterpoint, I will have to look up what that is. Haven't followed any Legion news in a long while.

Edit: Just had a look at Shatterpoint. No, it doesn't seem like something I'd enjoy. Seems to me the focus will shift even more towards Hero/special units. I'd enjoy a game more with less special troops and more actual full scale war.

Somehow this really surprises me. I'm not sure if I have seen even a single promotional image (except for the cover image on the battle net launcher) but apparently that speaks more of my internet bubble than the games promotional campaign.

But still, Diablo 3 seemed like a much bigger deal. Can anyone speak about how the hype is compared to Diablo 3?
