Which OS?

Sounds driver related. Work have had various issues on Windows with certain ThinkPads due to Teams having some weird interaction with the power management driver.

Teams is somewhat of a resource hog, as the "application" is basically a self contained web browser running the app.

Framework have categorically said they won't offer colours, due to the environmental impact.

For a progress update check the email they sent a couple of weeks ago to everyone that pre-ordered. 😉

Not really. All the CPU cores are identical on the AMD CPUs framework ship.

The AMD chips with X3D and Zen 4c would benefit from the scheduler improvements in Windows 11, as do Intel chips from 12th gen onwards as they have performance and efficiency cores.

SATA M.2 drives are pretty rare being sold new now, you actively need to go hunt them out. All the Crucial P-series are NVMe.

Not if you use it as intended.

No, they come off the same lines. DIY ones are tested with RAM and SSDs installed which are removed and put back into the test pool before shipping.

To put it in perspective - it's 0.009s vs 0.003s.

They look fine.

Might be worth checking the prices on the SK Hynix P31 and P41 SSDs as it's Black Friday week. They're very power efficient, but can be expensive in the UK.

It's something set on the Azure side, probably in Intune.

Go around the unit, and part of the metal frame (or a leg) under the desk in my case. If one ziptie isn't long enough, daisy-chain them together.

Zipties? 😆

Worked for the last 10 years with the ethernet switch under my desk...
