Overnight/8 hours is what's normal where I am. Or boil for 10 minutes, soak for a couple of hours.

Firstly, adl are fascist apologists, secondly "very fine people on both sides."

I'm not sure they're quite ruined if over soaked. Cooking time will be greatly diminished. I've left beans soaking for 24 hours because I forgot, they turned out fine.

Sweet potatoes. Alternately, potatoes, carrots and green beans stewed together with cornbread or rice. If you can afford it, chicken, pork, or turkey for flavor and protein. It need not be expensive cuts, necks or tails will do.

They do these studies every decade or so with consistent results. Also note that rwa doesn't mean right leaning.

I'd hoped she was growing, then I rta. Still, recognizing a genocide is a big step and growth isn't linear, and is messy AF. Here's hoping for the best possible outcome. 🙏

Sanctions, embargos, tomato, potato.

It's a serious issue, and if the USA can lift them on Syria under their ~~terrorist puppet~~ preferred president because they acknowledge the cruelty of them, they can surely lift them everywhere else and choose diplomacy, rather than war, starvation, and other collective punishments.

“Site-blocking is a common tool in almost 60 countries, including leading democracies and many of America’s closest allies,” MPA Chairman and CEO Charles Rivkin informed the audience. “So today, here with you at CinemaCon, I’m announcing the next major phase of this effort: the MPA is going to work with Members of Congress to enact judicial site-blocking legislation here in the United States.” The FADPA bill, the yet-to-be-published ACPA bill, and new addition Block BEARD bill, represent three different takes on a familiar site-blocking recipe. Each bill contains more or less of the same core ingredients utilized in countries engaged in blocking elsewhere. The headline figure of 60 countries may have needed some initial adjustment, and potentially even more after democracy entered the site-blocking equation."

Now they're saying 50 "democratic countries" instead of 60 countries, to push the narrative this is a democratic value.

Thank you! It's a great photo, and I'd encourage you to share it at an exhibit, if given the opportunity.

I stay on my toes around that crafty corvid brain!

He'll be bringing you all shiny things in thanks, before long. Maybe even some prey! And maybe his offspring, too, from what I've read.

Animals have always captivated me, and I'm glad to give back care to them for all the joy I've gotten watching them in the wild. They're all fascinating in their own ways, and they all have important jobs in our local environment.

Shine on, crazy diamond!

I'm happy to support you and yours. You have no idea how much joy you've brought to me, over the miles. I'll show up as long as I'm able! And if that stops, just know I'll be thinking of you fondly, sending best wishes across the distance.

If you aren't occasionally annoying each other, my guess is you're not growing, either because you've grown into a more mature place if acceptance, or because of refusal to keep working out the kinks. God willing, it will be the former, and you'll have a lifetime of creating and building the world you want to see, both at home and in your community. I can't wait for wedding and honeymoon photos!

Has anyone read this book? It was recommended to me years ago.

Having read the disinclined books of the canonical Bible, this doesn't seem contradictory.

The Ethical Slut is a self-help book about non-monogamy written by Dossie Easton and Janet Hardy. In the book, Easton and Hardy discuss non-monogamy as a concept and a practice, and explore sexual practices and common challenges in non-monogamous relationships. The book was first published in 1997 by Greenery Press, which Hardy founded, under the title The Ethical Slut: A Guide to Infinite Sexual Possibilities. Hardy used the pseudonym "Catherine A. Liszt" for the first edition. Revised and updated editions were published in 2009 and 2017, with updated subtitles. The Ethical Slut is widely read by non-monogamous and polyamorous people. More than 200,000 copies have been sold, and the book has been analyzed and reviewed in an academic context. Background In 1969, Dossie Easton left a traumatic relationship and gave birth to a daughter. Easton joined a queer community...

~~We all love the Fourth of July. It is a time for fireworks, family, and patriotism~~. Of course, you should probably be aware that some of the things we consider patriotic today have a somewhat dodgy history. Take the Pledge of Allegiance, for instance. Surely nothing says American patriotism like the Pledge of Allegiance… until you … Continue reading ""
