You're basically complaining that Roth 409s/IRAs exist, while couching it in terms relating to the lack of either Part-time work, or decent paying Part-time work, or rather, that's the gist of the responses you're getting.

I'll remind you, also, that the legal overreach within 100 miles of the border means no-one, of any persuasion, is any safer from the government in California, Maine, New York, what-have-you, than my neighbors and I are in what is otherwise an irredeemable hell-scape portion of the country, or so I am told.
Edit: It occurs to me that not everyone knows about the 4th-Amendment-Free zone within 100 miles of the USA's borders, including all coastlines, and encompassing several entire states.
