Oh yeah the LLM that is built to make things up at the drop of a hat can also make up the sources, its wild that people can still trust a literal machine of lies.

I saw one the other day that stated AC and DC power where interchangeable....

The amount of times I see people just take what is outputted as gospel is scary. And on things with real risk like electrical repair!

Well Canada just uses ~~indentured servants~~ temporary foreign workers for places like McDonald's so we are not really without sin.

But getting paid in pre paid cards is wild.

The ability to make shit up helps as well.

Good? Also is the american car sector not already dead from the us becoming a tariff issueing pariah state?

this line is stuck in my head this time of year.....

oh and more as a bonus:

extra:

also it is odd how good bing is at dialysis, it takes almost no retrys....

Playing around with the limits of the safe images on bing by trying to recreate the famous death and picture of Thích Quảng Đức. It seems that the name is not known with bing though.

Here are some of the other iterations: "sailor moon as the on fire monk Thích Quảng Đức june 1963"

"sailor moon as the on fire monk protesting"

Interesting how bing seems to associate protesting with facemasks.

Bonus:

Donald Trump has said that he will not become a dictator if he becomes US president again except "on day one", after warnings from Democrats and some Republicans that the US was in danger of becoming an autocracy if he wins the 2024 election. Fuck, well at least he's honest on this statement

Pennsylvania’s Central Bucks School District was one of the places where Moms for Liberty lost big in the 2023 elections, with a right-wing school board majority swept out and replaced with Democrats. On Monday night, Karen Smith—who had been serving on the board in the Democratic minority prior to this election—was sworn in as the school board president, part of the wave of change from the anti-LGBTQ+, pro-book-banning board voted out in November. She made a powerful symbolic choice when it came to what book she’d be sworn in on: not the Bible or another religious book, but a stack of frequently banned books.

X post!

One of these pulled up at my workplace today and I can not get over how stupid they look and that got me thinking, who thought making a shittier version of an Odyssey was a good idea.

This thing can't be useful as a truck, can't seat as many as a van, costs $50k and burns more gas then an Odyssey (10l/100km hwy vs 8l/100km hwy). Does anyone who drives these things think they are hot shit?

Ok, so it’s time for round #9 of our community challenge. Having won last week’s challenge, it’s my turn to open the new one.

Formatting is shamelessly stolen from @Anahkiasen@lemmy.blahaj.zone, thank you for your hard work :)

Theme

This week’s theme is “Unreal Cartoons”. I wanted to have something open to interpenetration and maybe encourage some really odd and perhaps unsettling images. Lets see what we can come up with.

Rules

  1. Follow the community’s rules above all else

  2. One comment and image per user

  3. Embed image directly in the post (no external link)

  4. Workflow/Prompt sharing encouraged (we're all here for fun)

  5. At the end of the week each post will be scored according to the following grid

    | Prize | Points | |

|

| | Most upvoted | +3 points | | Second most upvoted | +1 point | | Theme is clear | +1 point | | OP’s favorite (me, this week) | +1 point | | Most original | +1 point | | Last entry (to compensate for less time to vote) | +1 point | | new Prompt and workflow included | +1 point | 6. Posts that are ex aequo will both get the points 7. Winner gets to pick next theme! Good luck everyone and have fun!

Past entries

  1. Dieselpunk
  2. Goosebump Book
  3. Deep Space Wonders
  4. Fairy Tales
  5. A New Sport
  6. Monsters are Back to School
  7. War and Peace
  8. Distant lands

Edit: Put an image for an example (and looked empty without). It will not count as an entry but the prompt in the bing thing was "tintin looks at the camera while his face turns liquid revealing true form, cartoon style."

Just wondering what the limit is on rule 2 as I see things like covid vaccine effect questions, what scams are still around and other spicy topics. Don't want to make anyone upset but it seemed odd.

Sorry if this seems silly but I was on news@lemmy.world and the comments started to go away (even some of my own) rapidly. I am still new to the lemmying and was wondering if I could find out whats going on?

I don't think it is necessarily censorship as the remaining posts are similar enough to the ones removed.
