It's a patch that has a top element (known as a rocker), normally the club name. A centre piece which is the logo and a bottom rocker which usually is a location, denoting the club's geographic location/territory.
Bottom rockers with a location can cause massive issues if there is already a 1% club in that area as it makes it seem as though it's claiming territory.
These patches don't have a geographic bottom piece which would help in resolving any issues with an outlaw MC.

Just to add to this: Get boots with removable liners and at least one extra pair of liners. If you have a warm pair of boots, your feet will sweat if you're active and they will get cold no matter how good the boots. Having a dry pair of liners and a dry pair of socks to change into will make your feet warm and happy. Also, remove layers before you start sweating. You'll be cold for the first little bit but staying dry is the key to staying warm.
