Maybe they really do live in a world where these things are interchangeable.

This exactly. Learning programming was a HUGE hit to my understanding and trust of myself.

Most people don't go through the visceral experience of seeing how shitty the human experience lines up with reality. Such people absolutely believe in bullshit for the simple reason that it feels correct.

ELIZA effect for "AI", too.

Turns out most people are too fucking stupid to actually perform a Turing test.

That is an insanely Easy-Bake Oven-ass toaster oven if it's only 300W...

This completely and utterly ignores the capitalist pressures that also hit building materials. Just look at wood prices in the US. Prices have skyrocketed outside of the housing supply as well.

TL;DR: Capitalism is cancer on anything required to live, including the vast supply chain for such goods.

It's working great to convince moronic executives to leave Windows when it fucks up majorly due to AI coding, which is a win for everyone.

Autoimmune diseases are most often caused by an overactive immune system. I don't expect this development to go well for most people in the long term.

Or mumbling to itself, "what the hell is this human putting in my face? What does this giant animal want with me?"

WoW is 22 years old.

Don't forget the part about where the new leader voluntarily gives up control because they've achieved utopia.

Society can always collapse further.

Until people are fighting their neighbors with sticks and stones with no power or gas or internet for the dregs of the least-collapsed house in the region, it can always get worse.

Not all advertising is manipulation. The convo is going nowhere because you are No True Scotsmanning the definition of "advertisement".

If you're dropping a name of a product or service and describe anything about it to appeal to others, you are definitionally advertising.

The rank and file get the bear. The leaders get the wolf. Any 'special forces' (see: the SS or ICE) get the wolf, too.
