There are a lot of properties to steel that make it so incredibly suitable to construction. Its ability to carry a load is but one of them.

To be fair, the NASA article didn't explain that part much, either. I guess what's happening is the smooth bottom side of the plane keeps the sonic boom that's directed at the ground mild, while the more aggressive version of the sonic boom that we're more accustomed to is directed upwards? I'm inferring here, of course.

I've got someone in my family—dont know who, yet—who does a good job stopping the microwave early, but they never clear the remaining time before they get their food and leave. So I come over to the microwave to use it and there's 3 seconds on the timer, and I have to clear it before I can put my time in. That grinds my gears more than it should. It's like leaving an empty toilet paper roll on the holder, or leaving the dryer lint trap full. Like, be a better community member, you know?

I've got one of these that I used to use as a guinea pig cage; have been wondering how to repurpose it now that our little guys have moved on to the great guinea pig cage in the sky. This sounds like an excellent idea.
