On Saturday, heir to the Cox Media empire James Chambers, also known as Fergie, announced that he detached from the family business to use the wealth gained supporting communist causes.

In a Twitter thread he revealed, "As of this weekend, I’ve become the 1st Cox to fully detach from the company. I did this bc I believe strongly that my primary material purpose on earth is to extract as much capital from that entity as possible, in order to build socialist infrastructure/institutions in the 21st century, on the domestic & intl level."

Chambers said that it was his family's support for Atlanta's Public Safety Training Facility, dubbed "Cop City," that forced him to cut ties with the family business. Before that, he said he "withheld from aggressively pursuing such a move, bc I maintained some family bonds, & bc I was no more at odds w Cox than w any other tentacle of the American bourgeoisie. That is, it seemed picking a fight w my family was not a relevant piece of larger struggle."

He noted, "the complicity of my family in supporting that project [cop city], both financially, via lobbying, and with our media outlets, changed that forever."

Chambers said, "As of Monday, I will be “worth” multiple hundreds of millions of dollars, and I will continue to have a considerable income for the decade or so to come." He added that he is "building a network of comrades who can help me be accountable to the socialized allocation of this capital, so as to assist in a long-term strategy of building internationalism, and building strong cadre in the North Atlantic."

He concluded by saying he was grateful to have been born into a wealthy family. "I am extremely grateful for the love and support my grandmother, Anne Cox Chambers, always gave me, even if I believe that she was a piece of a system that needs to end," he said.

Actor Michael Imperioli says he has banned "bigots and homophobes" from watching The Sopranos and other shows and movies he has starred in following the Supreme Court's decision that a Christian graphic artist can refuse to work with same-sex couples.

Imperioli, 57, shared a screenshot of a news story about the ruling on Instagram, with the headline "Supreme Court protects web designer who won't do gay wedding websites."

The actor, known for his role portraying Christopher Moltisanti in the HBO drama, slammed the court's decision in his caption, writing that he had "decided to forbid bigots and homophobes from watching The Sopranos, The White Lotus, Goodfellas or any movie or TV show I've been in."

He added: "Thank you Supreme Court for allowing me to discriminate and exclude those who I don't agree with and am opposed to. USA ! USA!"

Responding to comments on his post, Imperioli wrote that "hate and ignorance is not a legitimate point of view" and "America is becoming dumber by the minute."

World famous soccer team FC Barcelona have received backlash for LGBTQ+ imagery behind the club emblem on social media to recognize international Pride Day.

The Catalan club announced their support of Pride Day on June 28 with posts on Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. Barcelona already have a large following on Twitter, but 41.4 million people around the world have seen a club tweet featuring the trans and rainbow flags, with thousands reacting to it.

"We're flying the rainbow flag to celebrate LGTBQI+ Pride Day #Pride2023," the club wrote across social media, including images of Pride flags at their stadium, the Spotify Camp Nou.

Among the 60,000 people who commented or retweeted the images, a significant number criticized the club's action.

"You have Muslim fans like us and you decided to post this on EID? That's very low," @AbjaFCB wrote on Twitter, referencing the fact that in a lot of Muslim countries, homosexuality and other acts are illegal. The tweet got more than 10,200 likes.

"Barca had all of June to do this yet they chose to post it on the day of Eid. [Not gonna lie] that's extremely disrespectful," wrote @laligafrauds.

Another user said: "Waiting just to post it on Eid. Disgusting club."

@Sarky_sultan said he will "never support Barcelona again."

Another user, @NekreSale, went as far as to post a screenshot of an email he sent to Barcelona, officially resigning from supporting the club.

Direct hit to the feels and I can't stop feeling.

I made the parallel between this and my recently deceased friends daughter... Just imagining the cruelty of the world in general.... Very difficult.

God bless.

Dependency theory is the idea that resources flow from a "periphery" of poor and underdeveloped states to a "core" of wealthy states, enriching the latter at the expense of the former. A central contention of dependency theory is that poor states are impoverished and rich ones enriched by the way poor states are integrated into the "world system". This theory was officially developed in the late 1960s following World War II, as scholars searched for the root issue in the lack of development in Latin America.[1]

The theory arose as a reaction to modernization theory, an earlier theory of development which held that all societies progress through similar stages of development, that today's underdeveloped areas are thus in a similar situation to that of today's developed areas at some time in the past, and that, therefore, the task of helping the underdeveloped areas out of poverty is to accelerate them along this supposed common path of development, by various means such as investment, technology transfers, and closer integration into the world market. Dependency theory rejected this view, arguing that underdeveloped countries are not merely primitive versions of developed countries, but have unique features and structures of their own; and, importantly, are in the situation of being the weaker members in a world market economy.[2]

President Joe Biden ended his MSNBC interview by awkwardly walking across the studio while the cameras were still rolling Thursday on “Deadline.”

Biden said, “I’ll be a president for every American whether they voted for me or not.”

Wrapping up the interview with the 46th president, host Nicole Wallace said, “Mr. President, thank you.”

Standing up to shake Wallace’s hand, Biden said, “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

Barclays Bank, a major retail bank in the United Kingdom, has settled a lawsuit brought by the UK-based Christian ministry the Core Issues Trust over the former’s decision to suddenly suspend its banking services in 2020.

At the time, far-left LGBT activists had accused the Core Issues Trust, which is based in Northern Ireland, of engaging in “conversion therapy.”

The start of the incident occurred in mid-2020 when a Twitter user highlighted the accounts associated with the Core Issues Trust and the International Federation for Therapeutic and Counselling Choice. The tweet triggered a barrage of over 300 phone calls and messages, lasting for days, directed at the ministry. Among them was a disconcerting text to Dr. Mike Davidson, the ministry’s chief executive, which contained despicable wishes towards his staff members’ families, The Times reported.

Dr. Davidson, who had been a lifelong customer of Barclays and had opened accounts for the Core Issues Trust and the counseling federation in 2011 and 2017 respectively, received a letter from Barclays on July 13, 2020, notifying him of the termination of his account.

A lawsuit from Davidson quickly followed, alleging that Barclays Bank had discriminated against him on the basis of his religious beliefs.

The bank would ultimately avoid a trial, instead opting to pay a settlement of £21,500 (roughly $27,120), plus legal expenses to Davidson. However, Davidson’s bank accounts were not restored.

Efforts to “debank” and financially blacklist perceived opponents of the progressive establishment agenda have accelerated in recent years, as proponents of censorship explored new ways to cut their opponents off from mainstream society.

On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Deadline: White House,” President Joe Biden criticized the Supreme Court’s rulings in the Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade and striking down racial preferences in college admissions and stated that the court is straying away from what “the Constitution says: We hold these truths to be self-evident, all men and women are created equal, endowed by their creator” and that ruling that there isn’t a right to privacy in the Constitution and states can make their own laws on abortion in Dobbs is “giving states power that we fought a war over in 1860.”

Biden said his earlier statement that the Supreme Court is not “normal” meant that the court has “done more to unravel basic rights and basic decisions than any court in recent history. And that’s what I meant by not normal. It’s gone out of its way to — I mean, for example, take a look at overruling Roe v. Wade, take a look at the decision today, take a look at how it’s ruled on a number of issues that are — have been precedent for 50, 60 years sometimes, and that’s what I meant by not normal.”
