I get why they did it (unsupported configurations could cause crashes or even hardware damage) but that kinda sucks for anyone benefiting from the increased speeds. It would be nice if they had made it a setting in the BIOS that was off by default, but could be turned on at the user's own risk.

I second Mint. It's super easy to install (even when dual booting), has a UI that's fairly similar to Windows so it's not too hard to navigate, for the most part just works, and because it's so popular there's a huge amount of information online. I'd recommend Cinnamon for the same reason as it's the most popular edition.

Here's a short timelapse movie I made of Mars emerging from behind the Moon after the occultation. Not the best quality, but my setup wasn't great and it was -20C outside. (Look right at the top of the Moon if you aren't seeing it).

Use it to buy a marker, grab a piece of cardboard from a dumpster, write a short sob story, and beg at the corner of a busy intersection. If you don't care about ethics, have absolutely nothing except the dollar, and need to make more, it's probably your best bet.

Bootloader unlocking used to be much more widespread, but manufacturers are removing that option to prevent users from having control over their devices.

Can't have cancer if you starve to death, therefore food is carcinogenic.

Don't care how good the article is, if the first thing I see when I click on it is an AI slop image I'm not reading it.

We just need a targeting system to detect the bugs (maybe use LiDAR?) and shoot them with high power pulsed IR lasers. There's absolutely no way this idea could go wrong.

GrapheneOS has this feature, and it's one I definitely couldn't go without.

Changing the post title, content, and author to something like "[deleted]" while keeping comments visible should be sufficient.

The site this screenshot comes from, SpotWx, is actually really awesome for looking at weather forecasts in detail. (Most of their models are only for North America, sorry Europeans).

I'll be drying the silver out and weighing it sometime in the next couple days. Closest guess when I do gets bragging rights! (And absolutely nothing else)

The scale was zeroed with the beaker empty, and it contains only water and silver (and a trace amount of copper nitrate). If you have a strategy behind your guess, please do share it!
