Wait, you are trans and in Russia? That seems like reason enough to flee, I wouldn‘t wait until they become aware enough of you to strip your citizenship. Maybe Finland would be ok: https://en.seta.fi/human-rights-support/asylum-for-the-lgbt-and-activists/

Good luck, I hope you will be safe.

I use an app called StopTheMadness to achieve that, it also helps me with some annoying cookie pop ups.

I‘m already disappointed in people, this is barely making a dent, all that happened is the comment made me of think of a funny quote and then this other guy had to regale me with this "Netflix is priceless" crap, and now I get you heroes here advocating for the sorry ass corporation too. What a mistake of me to even be on social media at all, if it‘s just supposed to be a popular sentiment marketing circlejerk!

Stupidity is in the eye of the beholder. You can judge me as stupid in return for thinking that of these new subscribers if you want and then we‘ll both go our ways. Only one of us will pay Netflix no matter how much they enshittify their service or how much they raise their prices (since it‘s "priceless") and one won‘t. C‘est la vie.

Always and inevitably, each of us underestimates the number of stupid individuals in the world

I‘m starting to come to that conclusion too, or at least I noticed it seems like a curse for myself.

This reads like DARVO - Corporate Edition with a derogatory jab towards free time and unions both.

I work 30h now too and thus I suppose this is aimed at people like me, but tell you what: the job I applied to was actually only approved by HR/payroll for 30h max, the company doesn‘t WANT to pay more than this and they knew they wouldn‘t find anyone experienced to sell 40h of their life for such a measly salary.

So we managed to find a mutually beneficial agreement, I get to live and exist like a frugal monk, perpetually renting and never owning anything (the European dream!), and they filled a position at 70%, pocketing 30% of the salary they would have had to pay to attract a full time worker.

Now, how is it my fault I can’t spend like an American and the economy stagnates then? It‘s maybe a shared responsibility, but truly, the company is the one in charge here and if they told me I have to work full time and get that 30% more pay too, I probably would (since I kinda like my current job oddly enough and don‘t want to switch again yet).

My former landlord did that, quite simply: he inherited the building and he paid for his travels with our rent. Just how our society is structured. I still liked him more than my current landlord, cause that is a company and it‘s straight impossible to even find out where this money goes. Maybe some billionaire who won‘t even appreciate it cause among 1000s properties it‘s almost a rounding error. At least with my former landlord I could hear some of his stories of what he experienced.

I wouldn‘t, but I also don‘t care if my family dislike me. So if you want to not pay for the uncle, you probably should move out first. Then you can be free from the likely negative social consequences coming your way. Though maybe if your dad is the one in charge, you can live there AND not pay. I‘d talk to your father on it first anyway and see how he thinks.

Cause moving out also means paying rent, so less money for savings too. So overall, is it cheaper to pay and keep the peace with family or cheaper to pay rent? Or can you get out of it somehow by teaming up with your dad? I‘d think on all that and whatever feels best to you, that is what you do.

Well yeah that is what I was talking about, though the articles I saw didn‘t mention any reason at all and if they had said "shits and giggles" I‘d be even more sceptical of that, since I don‘t think animals really fight without a reason.

Now here is where we get to my wild conspiracy theory, I think aquatic species may not like boats, who they can see killing their species or hunting their food sources. Then they react to a predator, so either they flee or attack. Orcas being some of the bigger ones are probably the few who stand any chance whatsoever fighting, so they might try sometimes.

Edit: Ok I just googled around and saw the articles you mentioned saying they do it for fun, I also found this: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2023/jul/11/the-orca-uprising-whales-are-ramming-boats-but-are-they-inspired-by-revenge-grief-or-memory

Which made me feel a bit more like at least I‘m not the only one who sees this possibility and also gave me more of an idea of why I might want to see this so much (I think there is an injustice happening).

In completely unrelated news, some whales seem to be attacking boats/yachts. How weird! Why could this be?
