Damnit, sucked into Alice in Borderland S2. Should have been in Snoozeland hours ago. Pray for me. Today’s work gave me a raging headache. Tomorrow might just lay me flat.

I replied on the way home in the car but Lemmy ate my text. Glad you have been having a rest! Also I am envious of your curry leaf plant! (Fried curry leaves!) The one we stayed at had both split cycle and wall heating as well as electric blankets. And the usual bits, fridge, crockery, mugs, glasses, a kettle, toaster and microwave. Extra blankets etc. And the usually complimentary coffee, tea and biscuits. Really couldn’t fault it at all. I keep driving past the Kyneton Springs Inn and that seems to have been done up in this super cute retro decor. So there really is life to these motels yet!

Ahahaha, is this the one where they run from the giant ball?

Sounds like you’ve had the perfect day for you! Just hanging out a little out of town and doing a bit of window/online browsing. The sun was glorious this morning so soaked up a bit of that, but otherwise good/grateful for sure!

That’s what I’m leaning more towards, even though I have a tendency to hover around Macedon and surrounds.

Do love a road trip though. Looks like more of those are going to be put onto the calendar!

Seems like a chill kind of Sunday, today.

For some reason, I’ve taken a liking to motor inns recently. Something about budget, no frills you pretty much get what you expect is… comforting?

I’ve had the fortune of staying in nicer places, but they always seem to be… I don’t know maybe the higher the price the higher the expectation and the I don’t find they quite meet in the end.

Anyways, how is everyone?

Hey, it’s not a dampener. Are you currently talking to anyone about your feelings, be it friends/family or professional? It’s hard to do things alone. If it’s hard for you to reach out right now, I’d recommend trying your best to build a routine around your health. It’s not a perfect solution or formula, but when things felt really out of control, I burned through a bunch of podcasts on neuroscience and anxiety and some books (which I didn’t always complete). I found that the sleep hygiene approach like trying to go to bed at the same time (I was trying to go to bed earlier to wind down), reducing screen time, cold water on my face in the mornings, self-care routine at least once a week etc were slowly having a positive effect. I haven’t got the names to credit all the things I’ve read/heard, but even the 30 mins off screens and setting your mind before bed can make a difference.

When we’re low we often forget a lot of things that bring us joy and contentment. Try to remember the little things if you can.

And please remember, no one here minds. Reach out here when you need.

I did some penny stocks the other year and it was wild. I don’t understand it enough, but they basically became worthless and somehow got folded back into the company. 😂

Blergh, I should be asleep. Strange how being home for less than 24 hours makes a trip feel like it was aeons ago.

The Bourne fight scenes just blow my mind. I would have never picked Matt Damon as an action actor so a lot of respect there.
