Cool, I'm on the same laptop, same distro and same spin. I really like it, but I wish batterylife was better on Linux in general and that hibernation wasn't such a pain to setup.

They at least suspended an account that crossposted a Lemmy migration post in many 3rd party app subs for a couple of hours for spamming. Seems like you could reasonably argue it was spamming though.

I agree that the signing up process should be streamlined and bugs should be fixed. But I don't agree we should maximize the userbase even if we need to weed out a lot of nasty people and bots later. That would make the platform more unpleasant instead of better.

I think the critical mass has already been reached. Not to be an exact copy of Reddit with all its tiny subs, but to be a nice place in its own right.

To combat the splintering problem I think there should be an option to combine similar communities of different instances. You would still have to choose an instance when posting, but when reading you wouldn't.

I think accidents and risks are different. We wouldn't kill a person to safe 4 people with organ failure.

He then swapped to saying he wanted it for the box and art

I would guess that was after he found out the disc doesn't run on a modern PC.

Cool! Seems to be a bit like RetroPi exept for the Steamdeck

That's why I like GOG. No DRM bullshit and they actually put in some effort to make old games run on modern hardware.

When it comes to console games, emulation is the only way to go most of the time. If only they would just let you buy ROMs legally for a fair price. Instead Nintendo likes to give you a sub par experience and only if you subscribe to their service. No way to purchase old games. Not that you ever really owned the eShop games you bought, but at least it was not tied to a bloody subscription service.

Isn't there a Retroarch core for Doliphin? And Retroarch is on Steam. Maybe the Dolphin core is not available on the Steam version though.

Anyway, thankfully if you are tech savvy enough to get Dolphin to work, you are more than likely also capable of side loading it on the Steamdeck.

Here is their donation page with all three currently supported options.

I don't know much about Open Collective, but LiberaPay does not take a cut (only the fees of the payment processors) so I would discourage you to choose Patreon.

Edit: Actually there are more options listed since you can also donate crypto.

Yet breeders should be absolutely illegal.

I agree. Even individual pet owners (or guardians) breeding with their pet is problematic imo. Certainly when they choose the breeding partners.

But even if the dogs are free to choose themselves you could argue that you shouldn't let them breed because it would be better to adopt animals in need rather than create new animals.
