I always stim on the smooth tags on my clothes by rubbing the smoothness together. Any type of satin-y material works. The best stim, constantly available and covert so you can stim in situations where it's not safe to stim.
Bonsai tree for ADHD is one of the best gifts ever. Having to take care of a living thing is surprisingly great for mental health and keeping routine. Aesop Rock even has a song about it, albeit it's about a cat and not a plant. It's all about building a routine. It's crazy how much better I've been doing just because I gotta wake up in the morning to water my cats, so much starts falling into place with little bits of routine.
I think your Dad heard that rant and wanted to see you prove yourself wrong by starting with easy stuff. I'm also horrible at basic maintenance and making routines. Sometimes people have to make me do things I like, even if I'm upset at first. The bonsai tree could be a bad gift, but I really think its too early to tell. Give the bonsai tree a shot, you may be surprised with yourself.
I've been mildly entertained by Skibidi Toilet ever since I came across it, the kids really are alright.
It definitely could be helping, you'll have to sit through it to see if it really helps or not, but don't be afraid to ask for a different anti-depressant at your next appointment! If you're still struggling with side effects 2 months later (assuming you have bimonthly or similar schedule for psych visits) then you probably need a new SSRI. Any major side effects other than sexual dysfunction should be gone within a few months of being used to the drug if it's the right one for you. Might I recommend Zoloft or Wellbutrin? Zoloft is known for having less side effects than most SSRIs. Wellbutrin is also a good anti-depressant with even less side effects than Zoloft, but isn't an SSRI so doesn't work well enough for some people. Don't be afraid to ask about specific meds from research you do either. As long as you aren't asking for adderall, benzos, or opiates, your doctor will likely be receptive. If you have family members on meds, it's worth asking them what works as a base. Sorry for the rant, I hope lexapro goes better for you, but if it doesn't it isn't the end of the world!
FKA Twigs is amazing queer music, although I'm pretty sure Twigs is straight. The bulk of her collaborators are queer though, and it's clear as day listening to the music. LP1 specifically is probably one of the gayest albums I've ever heard. Arca (trans electronic producer) with FKA Twigs is one of the greatest duos I've ever heard. Lights On is probably the best example, where this song isn't neccesarily about being trans, but you can very clearly hear a pre-transition Arca being a major part of the song.
Shoutout Dr. Girlfriend for giving me the confidence to speak with my half a pack a day voice <3
Me @ my girlfriend
Don't be too disuaded, psych meds just really range like that between people. My anti-psychotic is my saving grace, but I've heard just as many nightmare stories from the meds I take. What anti-depressant are you on currently?
I'm glad you have some supportive friends!
Titanfall 1 & 2 were such great shooters
PS4, it's insanely broken.
I haven't heard about Tearaway since I owned my vita. That game is great
I guess you could say relic is no longer a company of heroes.
The people of Kansas are historically based as fuck. Can't forget Eugene Debs running for president from jail. Missouri on the other hand has literally legalized murder of religious groups in its history
