Do you (or anyone, really) know where the epithet "Whackers" comes from? The only thing I could think of is Wackenhut Corporation (nowadays G4S Secure Solutions) but it's different spelling. I kind of doubt it comes from "whacking" someone because that's more mob shit than rent-a-cop.

In the third part of the Spanish Civil War miniseries we got an update on him from Chris.
Chris is confident in a recovery, and claims to have good conversations with Matt weekly, but he (Matt) has aphasia right now and it might be a while and some work before he's mic ready again.
They are going to be taking orders for the Spanish Civil War series as a book at the end of the summer to help with medical bills/baby stuff. He also mentioned they are thinking about doing something with the Cushvlogs as well but no specifics there.
I think both font and red, I think the font should echo (but not be the exact same as) the font on the side bars, and the drop shadow should be cyan/pink or the same yellow as the road. The red just pops out too much and clashes in a bad way with the rest of the palette. The yellow is fine because it's more in line with this "Electric Pastel" (is there a legitimate name for this kind of pallete?), is needed to draw attention to the root "2 paths" meme, and also has a kind of red-herring symbolism.

Correct, though this was a Lemmy update not Hexbear so most instances should be able to use this feature if I understand correctly.
