This indeed, being bisexual and traveling to and having family in China, I dont talk about it with anyone aside from people I know are cool, but it is changing culturally, I liken China to the 80s in the USA, lot of bigots,but shifting opinion is on the wind, eventually it will get better and one day it'll be fine and normal. The moon landing is funny, so many of my family members under 30 in China believe it was fake, not because they think we can't or couldn't but more because the US lies about everything so it makes sense they'd lie about the moon landing.

The thing people forget is China is a normal country with a Marxist Leninist party running it, there are diverse beliefs and people, and it's much more open then say, the soviet union, for better and for worse.
