I feel like these both lack really good high res displays. Why? It’s be awesome if it had something comparable to a MacBook Pro resolution.

Very snug fit and then soldered in place.

Just made a 4 needle one today. Everything was great until I discovered that the copper block shifted very slightly while drilling hole number 3. I guess I will try again at some point. Grr. Hehe. Good things take time I guess 🤣

Heh. I sometimes think I should go back and revisit some of my projects (not just leather but woodworking and knives too). Then I think that maybe I should just leave them and use them as a way to measure my progress. I was happy with it at the time, and I’ve grown since. So what. It’s nice to see what you did end up with at that time and how far you’ve come.

It’s a bit like an author rewriting parts of books they wrote years back. They shouldn’t!

So I then leave them and just look at and embrace the faults and learnings :)

I’ve recently started using proxmox -backup-client. Works well. Goes to my backup server along with my vm image backups. Works nicely with full deducing and such. Quite good savings if you are backing up multiple machines.

I the. Rsync this up to cloud once a day.

I have to say that I used to be a timeshift fan but I’ve started moving to snapper instead. Both are very similar but with snapper you can have multiple configs, one per sub vol. each with different settings. I like having a separate root and home schedules set up. Means I can restore one or the other independently. Works a treat.

Love your handle!

I always love how places “ship internationally” and when you order two spools of thread I get to the checkout and see a DHL line item for US$120. 😔. That doesn’t bloody count as international shipping.

(I’m in New Zealand by the way)

I reckon using a funky thread color with a full leather is awesome. I’m waiting to pull the trigger on yellow, and ocean green soon! But I think I should go with 0.6mm as 0.8mm is a bit chunky for these smaller items.

The back is 2.5mm and the front is 2mm. I guess that means 4/5oz and 6/7oz?
