I have a PC but unfortunately it's less than capable

Most console games back in the day had a Java port one way or another. Assassin's Creed upto III were there and the III version even had naval combat. There was a Bioshock port in which you could basically do all you can in the game, combat and hacking minigames and powerups were similar. We had Doom RPG and Doom 2 RPG, I loved that one particularly because for me it introduced me to Doom with a lot of story and cutscenes, the gameplay was really fun too. God of War has a canon java game lmao
Anyway, about RE1 I think it even preserved all of the puzzles! I don't think I ever beat it but did play a ton of it. It had a layer of strategy because if you shoot the zombie and it doesn't die then it will get closer to you when the zombie's turn comes so you had to plan battles out in a way
I have only played the two GoW games on PSP and the canon game that came out on Java phones so my experience is pretty limited but I loved the games that I played.
I haven't played any of the rebooted games but heard they have an amazing story, particularly the first one. Sadly, it's too expensive...
I have played a Java version of Resident Evil 1 which is top-down but plays mostly the same, except the combat is turn-based. You don't go to an environment for battles, the actual walking and shooting happens in the main game, I really enjoyed it back then
Week has been wobbly. I started Krishnamurti's Freedom from the Known which has been making me look at things differently so I'm in a kind of flux. I have also finally been making peace with my OCD and the severe ritualistic behaviour that compelled me to watch certain movies and shows and not other ones so I have been getting used to this new freedom of doing what I want haha
Having a method gave me assurance of not thinking about what to do but it also made me anticipate the whole course of my actions, I couldn't enjoy what I was doing in the moment so I had to stop doing that
From the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion
I only played the free trial and didn't even finish it but it's an amazing game all around
Let me try this
I have been playing City of Heroes, which is a superhero MMO and I'm surprised how much I dig it despite multiplayer games not being my thing. PVE is much more comfortable for me and the game let's you make any kind of hero you want, and u can make ur own battle cry as well which is funny.
Also it has one of the best gender options in gaming: Male, Female or Huge. Badass
Another one I'm playing rn is Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX, this is a remaster of the old Alex Kidd in Miracle World game which I never played but I'm digging this remaster as well. The new graphics and art is gorgeous and the ability to switch seamlessly from new to old graphics is spectacular. I have always loved old 2D side-scroller even though they are always more challenging than modern games, I like having to fight through something after multiple tries. I was having trouble with the game and after reaching one of the later levels of the game, my save file glitched and reset everything(cloud sync issue probably, I need to turn that off) which almost made me quit the game but I had learned so much so I gave it another try and was surprised that I got to where I was in an hour and beat the boss I was on before in first time. Very very satisfying
There are some other games I'm playing rn but I don't wanna write too long so here are just their names: CLeM (amazing, intriguing puzzle game), Skies of Arcadia (emulated through Flycast with RetroArch, has achievements even!) and Peggle which I'm trying to 100% even after 30 hours haha
Started a Spanish language course! Also trying out a bunch of new games
But today was messed up, someone that is a friend said something messed up about my religion and I don't know what to think now. Part of me is mad that I let it happen and that the other person thought it was okay to do that since I always take things lightly
Playing video games and waiting for university to open uppp
It's been going okay I suppose, haven't seen a movie in like two weeks but I did finish Hollow Knight though I couldn't beat the true final boss.
